This aphorism has been with me since my early days in school, and I have been heeding to it also in my work with my clients: proactive change safeguards the future, which is built on proven practice.

Actual Examples:
A global change project inside a staff function of a large German corporation, for centralizing some functions and processes in order to achieve higher service quality for their internal customers.
A worldwide Management Development Programme for a large British conglomerate, developing younger managers for their future roles in the organisation.

The issues we work on together are related to all areas of everyday  leadership issues beyond the technicalities, starting from designing individual areas of responsibility in coaching sessions, to working together as one whole management team to large change projects targeting on cultural change.  For that matter it does not make a difference which function I work for, as in more than 35 professional years I have learnt to recognize relevant structures and systems, and therefore developed an eye for immanent areas of potential friction.
